Some Facts About Leh -

•Leh was an important stopover on trade routes along the Indus Valley between Tibet to Kashmir and also between India and China.

•Shoyk and Nubra in Nubra Division of Leh.

ARRIVAL AT SRINAGAR AND TRANSFER TO SONMARG (Approx. Distance: 90 KM.)
Upon arrival at Srinagar transferred to Sonmarg hotel by car.
Overnight stay at Sonmarg (Alt. 9,186 Ft).

DISKIT TO SIACHEN BASE CAMP TO PANAMIK (Approx. Distance: 180 KM.)
After breakfast, visit to tallest buddha statue in the region which is 32 meters in height named ‘Maitreya Buddha’; then proceed towards Siachen Base Camp (Alt. 12,000 ft). Siachen refers to a land with an abundance of roses. Siachen glacier is the second largest glacier in the world that stretches 78 km and highest battlefield. We always wish to see how the Indian soldiers guard this battlefield. There will be a small briefing session on grueling routines and preparedness of the brave soldiers of Indian army. Later visit to Hot Water Spring at Panamik. Panamik village is very close to Siachen glacier & attracts the travelers to visit hot Sulphur springs.

Altitude: 11,562 ft.
After breakfast, ride towards mesmerizing Pangong Lake (14,270 ft). This natural wonder is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Enjoy photography at this blue lake. Later proceed to Leh via Changla pass. Surrender your Leh bike.
Enroute visit to: Second Highest Motorable road in the world “Changla Pass” (Alt.: 17,688 Ft.), Hemis, Shey Palace, Thikse Monastery.
Route: Shachukul –Tangtse - Pangong Lake - Changla pass - Shakti - Leh.
